the hostal xucar in madrid is a budget hotel - but it's really clean and comfy. great location - easy to walk everywhere and close to shops and restaurants. the staff were super friendly - especially with the kids. they spoke english well and even helped with my limited spanish.

I had a fantastic stay at a budget hotel with a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. the staff at Hostal Xucar were incredibly kind and helpful, especially with our children. Despite the shared bathrooms, they were always convenient and kept clean. the beds were comfortable, the location was great, and the price was incredibly cheap. the check, in and check, out procedures were seamless, and everything we needed was waiting for us. the experience felt like staying in a very exclusive hotel. And a special mention to the old men who made our beds every day , thank you!

The location was great, just a short walk from the main sights and a metro station nearby. The bed was comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day. I also liked having a sink and a small balcony in the room.
There were several negatives about this place. it was incredibly noisy.

Budget accommodation, clean with friendly staff. English and Spanish spoken. Shared bathrooms, but convenient. Comfortable beds. Good location, close to metro and attractions.

Great location near all the main attractions and restaurants. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice balcony and comfy beds. The staff was polite and helpful, despite the language barrier. I had a pleasant stay at Hostal Xucar and would recommend it.

Convenient location near city center and Atocha Station, perfect for exploring Madrid. Beds made up daily and helpful staff.

The value for money at this budget hotel was excellent. The room was comfortable and perfectly clean, with convenient shared bathrooms. The staff, especially the lady at night and the guy during the day, were kind, friendly, and helpful. The location was great, with a small balcony that was perfect for us smokers.
The breakfast selection could have been better.
